Dr. Jacques de Broekert, PsyD, LPC, LSATP, CSAC, MAC is a licensed psychotherapist and addiction specialist with over two decades of clinical experience. He is the founder and president of Wellspring Mind Body Inc., with locations in Reston, Virginia and Southlake, Texas, where he works with individuals, couples, and groups navigating addiction, trauma, and mental health challenges.
Jacques specializes in treating substance use disorders — including alcohol, heroin, and cocaine dependency — as well as behavioral addictions such as gambling, sex, and pornography. His clinical approach is grounded in Attachment Theory and Interpersonal Neurobiology, and he is trained in EMDR and Gottman Method couples therapy. He also supervises aspiring Certified Substance Abuse Counselors (CSACs) and provides intervention services for families with resistant loved ones.
Licensed in Virginia, Texas, North Carolina, Tennessee, and Florida, Jacques sees clients both in-office and via teletherapy, making evidence-based addiction treatment accessible across multiple states.
As the host of Doc Jacques: Your Addiction Lifeguard, he brings that same clinical depth to a wider audience — offering real talk on recovery, practical tools for healing, and honest conversations with fellow clinicians and people who've walked the road of addiction firsthand.
