Associate Professor / Faculty Grade Tutor (Research) at University College London. Jo didn’t start out as a scientist, after she graduated Jo worked in science TV for a few years but became envious of the work scientists were doing. She joined the dementia research group at UCL in 2001 as a research assistant and has been there ever since. Jo completed her PhD part-time on imaging in Alzheimer’s. Now she has published more than 100 papers and has successfully managed to win a number of grants including fellowships. Since returning from her first maternity leave in 2014 Jo has worked part-time (0.8 WTE) and she now has two children and is married to a Vet.
