Dr. Kavner is the Academic Counselor at the STEM Academy of Hollywood and has been at STEM since it became a pilot school in 2010. She previously worked as an Early Behavioral Intervention Counselor for LAUSD School Mental Health and a Secondary Counselor at Hollenbeck Middle School. Dr. Kavner holds a B.A. in Journalism and Sociology from Iowa State University, a M.S. in Counseling from California State University, Northridge and a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology.
