Dr. Lenneke Jong is a Glaciologist and a crysophere system modeller in the Antarctic Gateway Partnership in the Institute of Marine and Antarctic Studies and the Antarctic Climate and Ecosystems CRC. She obtained her PhD in 2011 from the School of Physics, University of Melbourne, investigating spatial adiabatic passage techniques in mesoscopic electronic systems, focussing on quantum computing applications. She then focussed on scientific software development, working within the Scientific Databases and Visualisation group at the Heidelberg Institute for Theoretical Studies in Germany.
