Phil is a a Research Associate at the University of Toronto, funded by an ALS Canada-Brain Canada Career Transition award. He has been working on ALS since he started his PhD at UCL Institute of Neurology in 2008. He is interested in the basic mechanisms that contribute to disease progression and investigating them using a mixture of cell and animal models, alongside post mortem patient tissue.
