Vera Keller is Assistant Professor of History at the University of Oregon. She is an expert on the history of science in the early modern period. In her dissertation, she conducted research into the Dutch inventor Cornelius Drebbel (1572-1633): Fame and the Making of Modernity, unlocking visions of an open future at the beginning of the 17th century.
