Drew Hayden Taylor is a playwright, and author, primarily of Native literature. As a person of "half Ojibway, half Caucasian" ancestry, his work focuses on the experiences of Native Canadians. Taylor's first play to be produced was "Toronto at Dreamer’s Rock," which was produced in 1989. His first books, the non-fiction book "Funny, You Don't Look Like One," and the short story collection "Fearless Warriors," were both published in 1989.
