Eleanor Cummins is a freelance science journalist and an adjunct Assistant Professor at New York University’s Science, Health, and Environmental Reporting Program.
Cummins's work has appeared in The Atlantic, The New York Times, and National Geographic. She is a regular contributor to WIRED. Her reporting on OCD received a notable mention in the Best American Science and Nature Writing 2022.
Cummins received a 2018 Edible Award for her reporting on New York City oysters and a 2022 Azbee Award for her profile of Dr. Will Flanary.
Cummins received her M.A. from New York University's Science, Health, and Environmental Reporting Program.
