Emily Yoffe is a journalist. She is currently a contributing writer for The Atlantic.
Previously, Yoffe was a was a regular contributor to Slate magazine, writing the columns "Dear Prudence" and "Human Guinea Pig." She hosted the "Dear Prudence" podcast and co-hosted the podcast "Manners for the Digital Age."
Yoffe has also written for The New York Times, O The Oprah Magazine, The Washington Post, Esquire, The Los Angeles Times, and Texas Monthly. She began her career as a staff writer at The New Republic.
Yoffe's first book, "What the Dog Did: Tales from a Formerly Reluctant Dog Owner" was published in 2005.
Yoffe grew up in Newton, Massachusetts and graduated from Wellesley College.
