Francesca Mari is a magazine journalist. Currently, she is a contributing writer to New York Times Magazine. She also teaches narrative nonfiction in the Literary Arts Department at Brown University. Mari was a writer and editor at Texas Monthly from 2012 to 2016, and a senior editor at the California Sunday Magazine from 2016 to 2018. Her work has appeared in The New Yorker, The New York Times Magazine, The Atlantic, The New York Review of Books, New York Magazine, and others.
