Gay Alcorn is a journalist and newspaper editor. Her last role was as Editor of The Age, prior to her leaving the position in 2022. Alcorn began her career in journalism as a cadet with the Courier-Mail before moving to Melbourne to join the Sunday Age at its launch. In 2014, she left The Age to become the Melbourne Editor of The Guardian Australia. She returned to The Age in 2020 as Editor.
