George Johnson is a journalist and science writer who writes for The New York Times. He appears frequently on the show "Bloggingheads.tv." He is a co-founder of the Santa Fe Science Writing Workshop.
Previously, Johnson was a staff Editor at The New York Times, a reporter at The Minneapolis Star, and a reporter at the The Albuquerque Journal.
Johnson's first book, "Architects of Fear: Conspiracy Theories and Paranoia in American Politics," was published in 1984. He has published nine books of nonfiction.
Johnson received his B.A. in Journalism and English from the University of New Mexico and his M.A. in Journalism and Public Affairs from American University.
