Gilbert Achcar (Arabic: جلبير الأشقر; b. November 1951) is a Lebanese socialist and academic. He is Professor of Development Studies and International Relations at University of London. His research interests cover the Near East and North Africa, US foreign policy, globalization, Islam, and Islamic fundamentalism. His book The Arabs and the Holocaust (2010), analyzes collaboration between Arab leaders and the Nazis and the impact of those relationships on modern Arab-Israeli relationships.
