Greg Hart is a technology executive named president and chief executive officer of Coursera, one of the world’s largest online learning platforms, effective February 3, 2025. He has more than 25 years of leadership experience across technology and digital businesses, including 23 years at Amazon, where he served as a technical advisor to founder Jeff Bezos, led the development and launch of the Amazon Alexa and Echo voice assistant ecosystem, and oversaw global expansion of Amazon Prime Video. From 2020 to 2023, Hart held senior product and operational roles at Compass, the largest residential real estate brokerage in the United States, including chief product officer and chief operating officer. He joined the board of directors of Bose Corporation in December 2024. At Coursera, Hart is responsible for advancing the company’s mission to provide access to learning at scale through partnerships with universities and industry, expanding course offerings, integrating generative AI tools, and driving global growth. He holds a bachelor of arts degree from Williams College and is listed as an inventor or co-inventor on dozens of U.S. patents.
