Dr. Gregory Maguire is an author. He is best known for his 2003 novel "Wicked." His first novel, "The Lightning Time," was published in 1978. He has published 16 novels for adults, over 20 children's books, and three non-fiction books.
Maguire received his B.A. from the State University of New York at Albany, and his M.A. in children’s literature from Simmons College in Boston. He taught at Simmons College until 1986. He then received his Ph.D. in English and American Literature from Tufts University.
