Guy McKenna is a retired Australian rules footballer and former senior coach of the Gold Coast Football Club in the AFL. Born on 11 May 1969, he played 267 games for the West Coast Eagles, establishing himself as one of the club’s most reliable defenders. McKenna was a key part of the Eagles’ premiership-winning teams in 1992 and 1994 and served as club captain in the 1999 and 2000 seasons. Renowned for his composure and leadership, he transitioned into coaching after retirement and became the inaugural senior coach of the Gold Coast Suns, leading the team through its early years in the AFL.
