Harrison is a creative dreamer. Always coming up with passionate ideas in his head about how to create something, or share his love of art. Especially film art. Harrison loves movies! He loves talking about movies, he loves watching movies, he loves analyzing movies, and most importantly he loves being changed by movies. That is why he made his podcast The Basement Binge. We will have to see if this dreamer ever gets around to becoming a doer.
Episode #49I recently heard for the first time ever, the phrase - "Lightning in a Bottle" - which I was instantly tantalized by! But if there was ever a perfect idea to express the greatness of the John Krasinksi Horror film A QUIET PLACE, it would be "Lightning in a Bottle". I am a total wimp when it comes to all things horror, but a film this good (and some motivation from my wife) can always get me to eventually press play!A horror film made on a budget of just $13 million, no less by a first time director, most famous for his role in The Office. HOW DOES THAT FILM EXCELL THIS WELL!? Like the Abbot's themselves, the result of amazingly talented people working together. Let me tell you all about it! ----more----"A Quiet Place" is a 2018 Horror/Thriller film written by Bryan Woods & Scott Beck and John Krasinski, Directed by John Krasinksi, Staring: Emily Blunt, John Krasinksi, Millicent Simmonds, and Noah Jupe."In a post-apocalyptic world, a family is forced to live in silence while hiding from monsters with ultra-sensitive hearing." Spooky Season is here at The Basement Binge, for the first time ever!! Let me know what you think of this episode by leaving a review on Podchaser Show NotesConnect on Social MediaFacbook.com/basementbingeInstagram @thebasementbingeor send me an email - harrison@thebasementbinge.comHelp the show by leaving a review on Podchaser.com/thebasementbingeLet me know your input on how the show should go in the near future - with this quick survey or use this link https://forms.gle/Ene65qaBKRyDn2ZS9 (thank you to those who already have)You can also follow me on Letterboxd @HARRYPerry13   Best of the Best intro music by Anthony P.Soundcloud | Instagram
Episode 48Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind is my second every Hayao Miyazaki and Studio Ghibli film. After having my world rocked by Princess Mononoke, I couldn't wait to experience such artistic animation again. So as we work our way to Episode 50 I thought it was due time to start through the remaining Studio Ghibli films sitting on my shelf.  Show NotesConnect on Social Media and get your show notes sent in for the next episode Howl's Moving CastleFacbook.com/basementbingeInstagram @thebasementbingeor send me an email - harrison@thebasementbinge.comHelp the show by leaving a review on Podchaser.com/thebasementbingeLet me know your input on how the show should go in the near future - with this quick survey or use this link https://forms.gle/Ene65qaBKRyDn2ZS9 (thank you to those who already have)You can also follow me on Letterboxd @HARRYPerry13   Best of the Best intro music by Anthony P.Soundcloud | Instagram
Welcome to the first-ever Basement Binge "Monthly Update". Basically, just an opportunity for me to talk about all these cool things on my mind without interrupting the topic of the main review episode. LOOKING BACK at September and all things in my film/movie interests that are worth mentioning. Including the new DUNE trailer and my thoughts about Denis Villeneuve's new adaptation and the delay; DC Fandom trailers (Zach Snyder Justice League, The Batman, Suicide Squad); Jared Leto confirming Tron 3 on his Instagram; Wandavision coming to Disney Plus; and a lot more!LOOKING FORWARD to October and all the things getting me excited and disappointed. From Mandalorian season 2 coming to Disney Plus; Film Release delays (No Time to Die, WW84, Dune); the Monster Hunter teaser and it's December theater release; the incredible #ALITAARMY getting Alita: Battle Angel back in theaters at Cinemark (you bet I'm going); Jamie Foxx and Spider-Man 3!? and so many other things. I want to be able to answer your questions next month! Please send them to update@thebasementbinge.com This is also just a chance for me to get a chance to share my vision and ideas moving forward here at The Basement Binge. Including a hint and some new episodes coming. The changes are exciting, but also difficult to make sure I maneuver most optimally, with your help it gets a lot easier. So if you haven't already please take this quick survey or use this link https://forms.gle/Ene65qaBKRyDn2ZS9 I appreciate all the reviews and feedback I get on any platform! Please help the show by taking this quick survey or just copy and paste this link https://forms.gle/Ene65qaBKRyDn2ZS9 Thanks again! Joseph Kosinski (Tron: Legacy + Oblivion) has been a long time favorite Director of mine, so it was finally to visit his "based on a true story" film about the Granite Mountain Hotshots. On top of being a very moving and emotional film stacked with an amazing cast, it is also further proof of Kosinski's incredible talent!  Only The Brave is a 2017 film Directed by Joseph Kosinski, written by Ken Nolan and Eric Warren Singer. Staring an A-List cast including Josh Brolin, Miles Teller, Jeff Bridges, Jennifer Connelly, and James Badge Dale."Based on the true story of the Granite Mountain Hotshots, a group of elite firefighters who risk everything to protect a town from a historic wildfire."----more----Want to help the show!?Leave a review on Podchaser or Apple Podcasts(email or DM us a screenshot and we will give you a shoutout on the next show) bingebasement@gmail.com  Connect on Social MediaInstagram @thebasementbingeLike of FacebookHarrison Letterboxd +Best of the Best intro music by Anthony P.Soundcloud | Instagram
