Harry Shannon is a counselor, a horror and mystery fiction writer, and a musician. He is best known for his Mick Callahan mystery series.
Shannon's music career began with the group The Kids Next Door. In 1975 he became Executive Director of ATV Music Group, and in 1988 he became Vice-President of Music for Carolco Pictures. In 1992, he left Carolco to become a freelance music supervisor in the film industry.
Shannon released six duet albums with his wife from 1979 through 1995, and wrote songs that were recorded by other artists.
Shannon began writing in 1999. His short stories have appeared in Cemetery Dance, Alternate Realities, Tales to Terrify, and Dark Discoveries, as well as in anthologies. His first book, the novel "Night of the Beast," was published in 2002.
