The character-driven thriller is the hallmark for former Hollywood producer turned-author Burt Weissbourd. Weissbourd has written numerous acclaimed thrillers, including Inside Passage, Teaser, Minos, and In Velvet. His latest work, Danger in Plain Sight  (Blue City Press, 2020), has won praise for its female heroine by Kirkus Reviews:  “Bravo, Callie James. A woman gets in touch with her inner action hero in this bracing thriller.”  Weissbourd began his creative career in Hollywood, producing films including Ghost Story starring Fred Astaire, Melvyn Douglas, John Houseman, Douglas Fairbanks Jr., and Patricia Neal, and Raggedy Man starring Sissy Spacek and Sam Shepard. In this conversation, he shares his take on character-driven thrillers, meeting and working with the legendary creator of Lew Archer, Ross MacDonald, along with plenty of anecdotes about his Hollywood days.  Visit his website: https://burtweissbourd.com/ Where to buy his books: https://burtweissbourd.com/where-to-buy/. +*+ Buy Alex Greenwood's books on Amazon.com.   Check out Alex's public relations show, PR After Hours available wherever you get your podcasts, and on AnchorFM.     Original theme music "Mysterious Goings On" by Jamie Green.
