Jacob Bloomfield is a Zukunftskolleg Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Konstanz and an Honorary Research Fellow at the University of Kent whose work centers on cultural history, the history of sexuality, and gender history. He is the author of *Drag: A British History* (University of California Press, 2023), which examines the development, cultural significance, and shifting public perceptions of drag performance in Britain. His research explores how gender nonconformity has shaped modern social and cultural life, and he contributes to international scholarship through publications, teaching, and public engagement on the historical dimensions of gender, performance, and queer expression.
