Jake is a Ph.D. student in Computer Science at the University of Chicago, specializing in research at the intersection of human-computer interaction (HCI), privacy, and technology policy, with a focus on law-informed approaches. Holding a Master’s in Law from the University of Chicago Law School, Jake integrates legal and technical perspectives to examine complex issues surrounding data governance and user privacy. They are an affiliate of the Center for Information, Technology, and Public Life (CITAP) at the University of North Carolina and have presented research at leading academic forums, including the ACM CHI Conference on Human Factors in Computing Systems.
