James Edwards Mills is a freelance journalist, author, outdoor guide, and independent media producer. He specializes in stories about outdoor recreation, environmental conservation, and sustainable living. Mills' work has appeared in National Geographic, Rock & Ice, and Alpinist. His first book, "The Adventure Gap: Changing the Face of the Outdoors," was published in 2014. He co-wrote and co-produced the documentary film “An American Ascent.”
