James Wallace Birch is an author, occasional commentator, and full-time over-analyzer from Northern Virginia, just outside the U.S. capital. His writing has been described as smart, elegant, insightful and poetically bittersweet.
James is the author of two books, staring with his debut novel, the cult classic: Discontents: The Disappearance of a Young Radical. His long-anticipated follow-up novel is If You Find Emory Walden.
James enjoys coffee and tacos, though not together. His mind moves to late 90s and early 2000s ska, emo and punk. He's a twentieth century fiction junkie. His favorite novel is Coming Up For Air by George Orwell.
