James is a broadcaster, radio editor, and presenter, and the founder of Phonogram. He spent more than twenty years at the BBC editing and presenting programmes across its services, including the BBC World Service and BBC Radio 5 Live. He advises on media and communications, including professional media training for commercial businesses. He teaches broadcasting at Sheffield Hallam University and, in his spare time, tries to get a mention of cricket into every episode of "Can We Have Your Attention?".
