Jane Solomon is a lexicographer and author. Currently, she is a linguist for Dictionary.com. Solomon's first book, "The Dictionary of Difficult Words," was published in 2019. Previously, Solomon has been a lexicographer for Cambridge University Press. Vocabulary.com, and HarperCollins Publishers. She is a member of the Unicode Emoji Subcommittee, the group that decides on new emojis. Solomon received her B.A. in English and linguistics from Northwestern University.
