Dr. Jeffrey S. Kahn is a sociocultural anthropologist and legal scholar whose work focuses on migration, mobility, border policing, maritime worlds, sovereignty, law, and ritual. Currently, he is an Associate Professor of Anthropology at the University of California Davis. Kahn has published many academic articles. His first book, "Islands of Sovereignty: Haitian Migration and the Borders of Empire," was published in 2019.
