Jesse David Armstrong (born 13 December 1970) is a British author, screenwriter and producer. He is the co-creator of the Channel 4 comedy series Peep Show (2003–2015) and Fresh Meat (2011–2016), and the creator of the HBO drama series Succession (2018–).
Armstrong has received many nominations and awards, including a nomination for the Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay for co-writing the film In the Loop (2009), and wins in the Outstanding Writing for a Drama Series category at the 71st Primetime Emmy Awards and 72nd Primetime Emmy Awards for writing the season finales of Succession season one and two respectively.
