While he was working for 7 years in Latin America, he was a stringer (freelance journalist) for The Economist, the BBC, The Times and Business Latin America. He served as President of the San Francisco Public Library Commission from 1992 to 1996. Committed to Citizen Diplomacy, he is Co-Chair and founder of the San Francisco Bangalore Sister City Committee as well as a board member for the Cork SF Sister City Committee. His podcast grew out of the March 16th 2020 Covid 19 Lockdown in San Francisco. Now at 105 episodes, he focuses on under reported angles in today's news stories and with a California and Silicon Valley perspective.
