Jo Becker is a journalist and author. Currently, she is an investigative reporter for The New York Times.Becker has received the Pulitzer Prize three times. First, with Washington Post colleague Barton Gellman in 2008 for a series of articles about Vice President Dick Cheney. Second, with the New York Times staff in 2017 for a series or articles about President Vladimir Putin's efforts to undermine the 2016 American presidential election. Third, with New York Times and Washington Post staff in 2018 for stories exposing the Trump administration's ties to Russia.Previously, Becker worked for the Washington Post, the St. Petersburg Times, the Concord Monitor and the MacNeil/Lehrer NewsHour. She also taught investigative reporting as a visiting Ferris Professor of Journalism at Princeton University for one year.Becker's first book, "Forcing the Spring: Inside the Fight for Marriage Equality," was published in 2014.Becker received her B.A. in Political Science from the University of Colorado.
