Joana Meier is a Royal Society URF and a group leader at the Tree of Life Programme at the Wellcome Sanger Institute and a Branco Weiss Fellow at the Zoology Department of the University of Cambridge. Her research group works on speciation, evolutionary genomics, the ecology and evolution of adaptive radiation, and on hybridisation. Her main study systems are Lake Victoria cichlid fishes and Heliconius and ithomiini butterflies. (Source: joanameier.ch)
