On The Gist, getting a bit willy-nilly with “white supremacy.” In the interview, John Hickenlooper may be mulling a pivot from presidential to Senate candidate, but he was at the Iowa State Fair to weigh in on issues that affect the entire country—and to strike a moderate tone. 2020 Democratic presidential candidate John Hickenlooper goes one-on-one with Matthew Cooke to discuss "The Squad," responding to Donald Trump's tweets, and why he's warning the Democratic party against turning too far to the left.
The presidential candidate discusses Trump’s “go back” tweets and rally, why he isn’t leaving the crowded 2020 field, and protests at ICE facilities in his home state of Colorado. In Hot Topics, the co-hosts weigh in on the president’s claims that he tried to quickly shut down chanting at his rally, and Puerto Rican Governor Ricardo Rosselló’s leadership as protests grow for him to resign.
