John Henry Lanchester is a journalist and a writer of fiction, poetry and non-fiction.
Previously, Lanchester was an editor at Penguin. He is a contributor to several newspapers and magazines, including Granta, the New Yorker and The Observer, for whom he was restaurant critic, and the Daily Telegraph, for whom he writes a weekly column. His first novel, "The Debt to Pleasure," was published in 1996. He has published six novels, a memoir, and three books of non-fiction.
