John Nicolson is a Scottish journalist, broadcaster and SNP politician. Since the 2019 general election he has been the SNP MP for Ochil and South Perthshire. He was previously the MP for East Dunbartonshire, having been elected at the 2015 general election, and defeated at the 2017 general election. He is the SNP Shadow Secretary of State for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport, a member of the House of Commons Digital, Culture, Media and Sport Committee and Depute Chair of the APPG on Global LGBT+ Rights.
