Josh Shepperd is faculty with the Department of Media Studies, and advisor of KVCU Student Radio. Josh researches the institutional, political, and conceptual history of the mediated public sphere in the U.S. He is author of Shadow of the New Deal: The Victory of Public Broadcasting (2024). He is a founding editor of Resonance: The Journal of Sound and Culture. Dr. Shepperd has a background in philosophy and PhD in communication from University of Wisconsin.
