Dr. Joshua D. Rhodes is a Research Scientist at The University of Texas at Austin, a non-Resident Fellow at Columbia University, and a Founding partner of IdeaSmiths LLC. His work focuses on electrical grids, resource planning, distributed generation, and storage, and on energy policy. He is also a regular contributor to Forbes.In addition to academic papers, Rhodes's work has appeared in Forbes, Axios, Fortune, Scientific American, The Houston Chronicle, Dallas Morning News, Chatham House, and the Dallas Morning News.Rhodes received his B.A.s in Mathematics and Economics from Stephen F.
