Julian Lim is an Assistant Professor of History at Arizona State University, specializing in immigration, borders, race, and citizenship in the United States and the U.S.-Mexico borderlands. Her research explores how migration and multicultural interactions have shaped national and regional identities, with a particular focus on the intersections of race, law, and belonging. Lim is the author of Porous Borders: Multiracial Migrations and the Law in the U.S.-Mexico Borderlands (2017), which examines the complex histories of immigration and racial formation in the border region.
