Julie Nováková is an author of science fiction and detective stories, as well as popular science articles about fields ranging from behavioral science to planetary dynamics. Currently, she is a PhD candidate in evolutionary biology at the Charles University.Nováková has published seven novels, one anthology, one story collection and over thirty short pieces in Czech. Her work in English has appeared in Clarkesworld, Asimov’s, and Analog, and collected in anthologies such as The Year’s Best Science Fiction & Fantasy 2019.Nováková also translates other authors' work from Czech to English. She has edited two anthologies, "Dreams From Beyond," which is a collection of Czech speculative fiction in translation, "Stranges of All," a collection of astrobiological SF stories, and "Haka," a collection of European Science Fiction stories translated to Filipino.
