June Caldwell is an author of fiction. Before becoming a full-time author, she was a journalist. Caldwell's first book, the short story collection "Room Little Darker," was published in 2017. She received the Moth International Short Story Prize and has been shortlisted for other awards, including the Calvino Prize in Fabulist Fiction, the Colm Toíbín International Short Story Award, the Lorian Hemingway Prize, and the Sunday Business Post/Penguin Ireland Short Story Prize. Caldwell received her M.A. in Creative Writing from Queen’s University Belfast.
