Justin Sherman is a Distinguished Fellow at the Center on Privacy & Technology and the founder and CEO of Global Cyber Strategies, a Washington, D.C.–based research and advisory firm focused on cybersecurity, data privacy, and emerging technology policy. He serves as an adjunct professor at Duke University’s Sanford School of Public Policy, a nonresident senior fellow at the Atlantic Council, a fellow at Stanford University’s Starling Lab for Data Integrity, and a contributing editor at Lawfare. Co-host of the “Power On, Power Off” podcast, Sherman has testified before both houses of the U.S. Congress, spoken at the White House, United Nations, and NATO, and briefed policymakers worldwide. His career includes roles at New America, the Laboratory for Analytic Sciences, and the Tech, Law & Security Program at American University, alongside extensive publishing in outlets such as Slate and WIRED.
