Justine De Young is an art historian and Associate Professor of the History of Art at the Fashion Institute of Technology, State University of New York, specializing in nineteenth- and early twentieth-century European art and fashion. Her 2025 book The Art of Parisian Chic: Modern Women and Modern Artists in Impressionist Paris (Bloomsbury) examines how fashion, femininity, and modernity intersected in the works of Impressionist artists and in the cultural life of late nineteenth-century Paris. De Young is also known for her publications on fashion in art, her editorial work on Tales of Fashionable Life, and her contributions to digital art history and museum scholarship.
