You want to show your true self in your workplace interactions. All of this is absolutely possible. You can lead authentically. But the first step to achieving this is uncovering your core values - the values that drive your actions, opinions, thoughts and decisions. In this episode, I guide you through how to uncover your core values with a three-step activity that I do with my coaching clients. This activity will help you understand what values drive you and are important to you so you can then incorporate them into your work life.In Episode 26 of The Leadership Pod, “Authentic Leadership: How to Remove Your Mask and Lead By Your Values”, you’ll learn:Issue of wearing a mask and fitting into a leadership mould.Consequences of not leading authentically.Benefits of leading authentically. What are values? How to uncover your core values with a three-step activityResources MentionedDaring Greatly: How the Courage to Be Vulnerable Transforms the Way We Live, Love, Parent and Lead, Brene Brown https://www.amazon.com/Daring-Greatly-Courage-Vulnerable-Transforms/dp/15924084195 Habits of Exceptionally Authentic Leaders: http://www.executive-impressions.com/blog/5-habits-of-exceptionally-authentic-leaders?preview_id=4990&preview_nonce=c86cc63bca&preview=trueLead By Your Values: http://www.executive-impressions.com/blog/lead-by-your-values-in-2018?preview_id=4969&preview_nonce=2c76d478cc&preview=trContinue Your Learning!Assertive Communication Skills Masterclass: https://www.udemy.com/course/assertive-communication-skills-masterclass/?referralCode=91E0C72EBD36C4BC684BBusiness Etiquette 101: Social Skills for Success: https://www.udemy.com/course/business-etiquette-101-social-skills-for-success/?referralCode=77FFA114311BAE37A80FWant to submit a question for my monthly Q&A episodes?Every month on The Leadership Pod, I do a Q&A episode where I answer a question somebody from my community or a client has asked me. In this episode, I share three ideas on how you as a new leader can encourage your team to speak up in meetings, including how to listen and acknowledge, create thinking time and stop interruptors. In Episode 24 of The Leadership Pod, “Q&A: How Can I Get My Team to Speak Up in Meetings?”, I delve into this topic.
