Karla Fullner Satchell, Ph.D. is a professor of Microbiology and Immunology at Northwestern University, where she leads the Center for Structural Genomics of Infectious Diseases. Her research has focused on the role of secreted protein toxins on bacterial pathogenesis, the protein structure of Human Coronavirus, and she has been leading research into the treatment and vaccine of COVID-19.
