Katharine Smyth is a writer and essayist.
Smyth's work has appeared in The Atlantic, The Paris Review, The New York Times, Elle, The Point, Literary Hub, and Poets & Writers. Her first book, "All the Lives We Ever Lived: Seeking Solace in Virginia Woolf," was published in 2019.
Before becoming a full-time author, Smythe worked at The Paris Review and taught at Columbia University.
Smythe graduated from Brown University, and received her MFA in nonfiction writing from Columbia University.
