Katharine (Katie) Sullivan currently serves as the Acting Director of the U.S. Department of Justice Office on Violence Against Women (OVW). Prior to joining OVW, Ms. Sullivan was appointed in 2007 to the state trial court bench in the 5th Judicial District County Court, Eagle County, Colorado. In 2016 she was awarded 5th Judicial District Judge of the Year. Prior to becoming a Judge in the 5th Judicial District, she served as a Deputy District Attorney in Colorado’s 9th Judicial District.
