Kathy Sanders is an American author and public speaker who became nationally known after losing her two granddaughters, Chase and Colton Smith, in the 1995 Oklahoma City bombing—the deadliest act of domestic terrorism in U.S. history at the time. Following the tragedy, Sanders became a vocal advocate for healing and reconciliation, gaining widespread attention for her extraordinary decision to reach out to the families of Timothy McVeigh and Terry Nichols, the men convicted in the attack. She later chronicled her journey through grief and forgiveness in her memoir Now You See Me, sharing her personal transformation and work to promote understanding in the face of unimaginable loss.
