Katja Hoyer is a historian, journalist, and author who studies the history of Germany. Currently, she is a visiting research fellow at King's College London.Hoyer's work has appeared in The Spectator, The Washington Post and Die Welt. Her first book, "Blood and Iron: The Rise and Fall of the German Empire 1871–1918," was published in 2021. Her second book, "Beyond the Wall: East Germany, 1949–1990," was published in 2023.
