Dr. Kenneth L. Alford is a professor of Church History and Doctrine at Brigham Young University and a retired Colonel in the U.S. Army. After serving nearly thirty years in various military leadership and academic roles, including assignments with the Department of Defense and teaching at the United States Military Academy at West Point, he transitioned to a full-time academic career. At BYU, he focuses on topics related to Latter-day Saint history, religious liberty, and the intersection of faith and military service. Dr. Alford is also a published author and frequent speaker, recognized for his scholarly contributions and public engagement.
