Ken Mayer is a professor of political science at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. He is an expert on the American presidency and presidential powers, legislative redistricting, campaign finance reform, election law and administration and defense policy. His piece on the January 6 insurrection reached a national audience via USA Today. Mayer’s current research focuses on and evaluating the effectiveness of recent state-level campaign finance reforms, and election administration.
