Muhammad-Ali's work has appeared in Strange Horizons, Fiyah Magazine, Diabolical Plots, and others. She has also narrated for all four of the Escape Artists podcasts, Far Fetched Fables, and Strange Horizons. Previously, she was co-editor of PodCastle audio magazine.
