Kim Hastreiter is an American journalist, editor, publisher, and curator born on November 12, 1951. She co founded Paper magazine in 1984 and served as co editor in chief until 2017, when she and David Hershkovits sold the company. Under her leadership, Paper became known for its coverage of fashion, art, music, and downtown culture, helping spotlight emerging artists and cultural movements. For 32 years, she wrote the column Note From Kim, documenting shifts in media and creative communities. She continues to curate projects and cultural events and is based in Greenwich Village, New York City.
